WaterCAMPWS is actively seeking to increase diversity among undergraduates. The research experience program targets students of color in particular. To increase retention of underrepresented students through undergraduate studies and onto graduate school, we implemented a peer-mentorship program and became involved with the MERGE program, respectively. The WaterCAMPWS also provides for the professional development of undergraduate students through participation in the the Student Leadership Council.
